Free Topic

For my free blog I am going to talk about the frisbee tournament that I played in this weekend. This was the Joint Summit Tournament for both boys and girls and it was played here at Clemson. For the girls, there were eight teams from NC, SC and GA, that were present. The teams included, for the girls: Eastern Carolina (ECU), Georgia (UGA), Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, James Madison (JMU), USC, and College of Charelston. Each girls team played four games on Saturday. Clemson played against UGA's B team for our first game on Saturday and we ended up winning. For our second game we played against ECU, but we did not win this game. We also lost to USC that day. Since we had lost two out of our three games that morning, our first playoff game would be against GT and we won. Our win against GT gareenteed us at least fourth place in the tournament. Sunday morning we played our second playoff game against ECU again and lost to them for the second time this weekend. This meant that we would be playing against USC again for third place. We had lost to USC the day before 10 to 5 so we were determined to at least close the gap in the score. We played our hardest and ended up winning the game 11 to 10 (the max that could be scored was 11 for this game). We were all really excited to beat USC since we had lost them last year in a tournament (we only scored two points on them in that game). I am proud of the team for this win and finishing third out of eight teams.
